    Christophe de Margerie (French pronunciation:[kʁistɔfdəmaʁʒəʁi], 6 August 1951 – 20 October 2014) was a French businessman.

    He served as the chairman and chief executive officer of French oil corporation Total S.A.[1]

    Early life

    Christophe de Margerie was born in Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais, France, on 6 August 1951.

    His parents were Pierre-Alain Rodocanachi and Colette Taittinger.
